We have an arrangement with Moby Dives.  Moby Dives is Gozo’s largest PADI 5 Star IDC training facility and is situated on the South West coast of the island in the picturesque fishing village of Xlendi Bay.

It offers a wide range of PADI scuba diving courses, from open water all the way through to instructor development courses.  They also offer courses in association with IAHD (International Association of Handicapped Divers) and HSA (Handicapped Scuba Association). 

There are two classrooms equipped with full audio/visual training aids and a 66 sq. meter indoor pool for confined water training.

Their service shop offers a wide selection of international brands of diving equipment, air fills, equipment service and repairs, plus a complete rental department.  Moby Dives also boasts a complete underwater photo and video center, where instructions are given in basic, macro and wide angle underwater photography.

Diving Packages

All dives are shore dives and can be reached by overland.

Accompanied Diving

Moby Dives offers 6 and 10 accompanied shore dive packs.  Accompanied dives are conducted twice daily, one in the morning and one in the afternoon to different sites.  Diving groups are small and grouped together according to each individual’s experience level.

Special dives are organized upon the client’s request i.e. underwater photography, handicapped divers etc.  

The price of dive packs includes guide, use of cylinders, weight belts, transport by land to and from dive site.  Boat diving is extra (approx. LM4 (approx. ₤6.50) per person depending on dive site) paid directly to Moby Dives and is organized every day on their 20ft. semi-rigid boat.

Unaccompanied Diving

Moby dives offers 6 and 12 day unaccompanied dive packs.

These packs are designed for divers who have a minimum of PADI Advanced Open Water, CMAS 2 star or equivalent rating with enough diving experience to dive independently of Moby Dives' instructors.

The price of the packs include one cylinder per person, weights and belt and unlimited air fills.

Diving Courses

Discover Scuba Introduction Dives

For those beginners who are unsure about taking the open water course.  Indoor pool and open water training.

Basic Scuba Diver Course or Junior Scuba Diver (Junior - 10 years plus and normal course - 15 years plus)

For those short of time, PADI Scuba Diver Course is a subprogram of the PADI Open Water Dive program.  You will learn the fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques.  You earn this rating by completing shallow water dives, knowledge development sessions and by making two open water dives.  With the PADI Scuba Certification you can dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Dive Master, Assistant Instructor, Instructor or high professional on your next vacation or dive trip.

PADI Open Water Course

This course is the first step within the PADI training program.  It consists of classroom sessions and pool/confined water training under the supervision of a fully qualified diving instructor.  This will be followed by a further four open water dives where students will be required to perform all the skills that they have learnt in confined water.  Course duration is 4/5 days depending on the number of students.

Diving equipment is included in the course.

Manual and medical NOT included.

PADI Open Water (Referral Course - 4 dives) (Junior - 10 years plus and normal course - 15 years plus)

This is your normal Open Water Course but split in two parts.  The first part of the course can be taken in the UK locally with the remainder being completed in Gozo.  You could take the course work in the UK with the confined water training, and open water dives to be taken in Gozo.

PADI Advanced Open Water Course

This is the next step in the PADI training program.  It consists of a selection of five dives with the two core dives being deep dive and navigation dive.

Students may choose anything from a wreck dive, night dive etc. to further their diving experience.

Course duration: 2/3 days

Diving equipment is included in the course.

Manual and medical NOT included.

Boat dives are NOT included (LM4 (approx. ₤6.50) extra per person).

PADI Divemaster

2 intensive weeks – 15 dives.  Students will serve as all assistant to an instructor a minimum of ten open water sessions.  Theory and personal water skills are developed to leadership levels to help create the awareness needed to care for and to control the student and certified divers, both in water and top side.  Professional membership with PADI is extra.

PADI Assistant Instructor

2 weeks minimum.  Qualified Divemasters have the opportunity to actually practice teaching the whole range of diving skills and theory under the direct supervision of one of our instructors.  Professional membership with PADI is extra.
